How to Stack a Radio Show: Adding "Bites of Sound"
Stacking a radio show means getting all of your "sound" together, in order and ready to be played during your radio program. "Sound" can include: sound bites from interviews, unlicensed music, show identification(e.g. "You're listening to the Shop-a-holic Show with host Credit-Card Carol..."), station identification, commercials (or PSA's), and so on.
Here's how to "stack a radio show" (loading sound) using Pamela, the free
recording/play-back program for Skype.
- Open Pamela
- Click on TOOLS
- Click on SHOW EMOTION SOUNDS PLAYER (This player is what allows you to build and "stack" your sound for your radio show.)

- Click on the GREEN "+" button at the top of the player
- A box will open that says CREATING NEW EMOTIONS CATEGORY
- Enter the title and date of this radio show

- Click on the GREEN "+" button in your new folder
- Click on ADD EMOTION

- Open the folder that contains the "sound" and double-click on it. It now is inserted in your "stack" of sound for the show.

- Repeat steps 7, 8 and 9 for as many pieces of "sound" for your show
- When you are ready to hear any of your pieces of sound, simply click the GREEN ARROW to play. To stop, click it again (the arrow will turn into a SQUARE when playing) *
Congratulations! You have now stacked your show and you are ready for
broadcast.
*CAUTION: Stopping the "sound" will cause it to re-cue; in other words, if
you click play again, it will START FROM THE BEGINNING.
